Section 10: Final Environment Setup Check

Before proceeding to Unit 2, confirm every item below. If any box cannot be checked, return to the corresponding section and resolve it before continuing.

  • JDK 17 installed and verified with: java -version
  • Android Studio Ladybug installed and setup wizard completed
  • Gradle JDK set to JDK 17 in Android Studio settings
  • FTC SDK cloned from GitHub and Gradle sync shows BUILD SUCCESSFUL
  • build.gradle shows: compileSdk 34, minSdk 24, targetSdk 28, VERSION_17
  • DiagnosticOpMode builds successfully
  • "Upgrade Gradle Plugin" prompt dismissed permanently

If all boxes are checked, your environment is stable for the 2025–2026 season.
