Section 9: Connecting Android Studio to the Control Hub (Quick Reference)

info

This is covered in depth in later units. For now, verify the physical connection works.

  1. Power on the Control Hub. Wait for the LED to turn solid green (approximately 30 seconds).
  2. On your laptop, connect to the Control Hub's Wi-Fi network. The network name is on a sticker on the Hub, typically formatted as FTC-XXXX.
  3. Open a browser and navigate to 192.168.43.1:8080. If the OnBot Java page loads, the network connection is working.
  4. In Android Studio, enable Wireless ADB: Run → Edit Configurations → add the Hub's IP as a deployment target. This is covered fully in the connection protocol lesson.
